PLYMOUTH Different 01/1960 FOR SALE 69000 €

Information in German:
This car can be called a “Peak Tailfin” because this 1960’s Plymouth Fury Hardtop 2-Door has massive tail fins. It is a beautiful American car that is instantly recognizable as such. It’s a great car to look at and a model that perfectly illustrates the transition from the 1950s to the 1960s. Because although the Fury looks like a typical 1950s design with its massive fins, the car’s design, a monocoque design, is more 1960s-appropriate. Another distinctive feature of this car is the engine that has the so-called engine

Sonoramic entrance. This should allow the engine to immediately deliver a lot of torque at low revs, while at higher revs it can maintain the power supply for much longer. It turns out that it works well with normal use of the car, but slightly less on the track for which the technology was originally developed. As a result, the motor shown here is no longer fitted to the rear. It only makes this rare car more special.

The car has spent most of the last few years in a dry room as part of a package. The car was driven regularly to keep everything running, but there was no question of mileage. A good body has the right combinations and looks beautiful. The car is professionally painted and the paint is in a very good and beautiful condition. The paint has already been repainted for visual reasons. The car has its original rims with white tires of course. The wheels are fitted with beautiful hubcaps that complement the look of the vehicle.

The interior is in good and original condition. In good American tradition, a massive front seat was installed in the front, giving all passengers a great view from the massive hood and through the huge windshield. Everything in this car is great. The seat is covered in red vinyl and the fabric is in the middle. The back seat is upholstered in the same way and looks nice. The lining is in good condition and the rug looks stylish too.

The 361 cubic inch V8 engine is mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. The engine delivers a huge amount of torque at low revs and works well at higher revs thanks to the aforementioned Sonoramic intake. The engine produces 310 horsepower and that’s more than enough to keep Plymouth moving in today’s traffic. The chassis, of course, has been tuned to provide passengers as much comfort as possible and to make driving as enjoyable as possible over long distances. The brakes are easy to dose and have more than enough braking power to properly brake a large vehicle. The technology has been well maintained over the years so the engine runs perfectly. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly and the engine compartment is meticulously maintained.

The car comes with some general technical information about the model and a series of photos. In short, a very rare 1960’s Plymouth Fury. Unfortunately, these great cars are no longer made that way.
