Motorcycle Tools: These tools support you on long trips
Motorcycle season is in full swing: If you’re planning a short road trip, the bike offers only limited space for large pieces of luggage. For this reason, the following tools are small, handy and very practical for long trips.
With the first rays of sunshine, many motorcyclists wake up from hibernation and cycle on country roads and highways almost all summer through fall. In Germany alone, almost 170 thousand new machines were registered in 2019 – according to current statistics. A marked increase compared to the previous year (in 2018 there were just over 158,000 new registrations), which may have been promoted due to the Corona crisis. After all, it seems like the easiest way to plan a road trip through your country right now. However, the bike has limited room for luggage, even if you attach it with saddlebags. So that you can carry everything you need with you while you drive, we offer less than six small motorcycle tools that take up little space.
1. First aid kit
Regardless of whether you are planning a short trip or want to travel by motorcycle for a longer period – in both cases you should always have one thing with you: a first aid kit. In accordance with DIN 13167 standard, a motorcycle manual first aid kit contains only the most important things for motorcyclists, such as a rescue blanket, a high visibility vest or bandages, and a first aid kit.

2. Bluetooth headset
Using your smartphone while driving is strictly prohibited – and it can also be life-threatening. However, with this bluetooth headset, you can take a call from your motorcycle helmet without taking your eyes off the road. Wireless speakers can reduce background noise for outgoing and incoming audio signals, so you can still be heard (in an emergency) and communicate while driving.

3. Air compressor
If your tires suddenly run out of air while driving, the nearest gas station is usually out of sight. For this reason, this practical motorcycle tool is the perfect travel companion: a portable air compressor that requires little space and – thanks to the built-in LED – can also be used in the dark. Scope of delivery includes pump, Presta valve adapter, needle valve adapter, charging cable, and instructions.

4. Cell phone holder
Many motorcyclists use their smartphone as a navigation device on the go. So that you can have a safe view of the road while driving, the aircraft stable aluminum mobile phone holder including integrated vibration damping is very useful. This attaches to standard or oversized handlebars (22.2/25.4/28.6/31.7mm or 0.875/1.0/1.125/1.25 inch in diameter) and also has the smartphone in the fast ride firmly under control – so it can’t be detached from the mount while driving.

5. Travel sleeping bag
Since the motorcycle provides a small storage space for larger items such as a sleeping bag, only the bare essentials can be taken on excursions. If you want to sleep in a hostel, you still have to do without the healthy comfort of sleep: with a very small and very light (155 grams) travel bag, you can dream at any time and anywhere on your own ” small bed “. Most accommodations offer matching (fleece) blankets that you simply lay over a thin microfiber sheet.

6. Protect shoes
As the name suggests, this special shoe protector is designed to protect motorcycle pedals from wear and tear. The non-slip elastic band is pulled over the shoe and closed with a sturdy Velcro closure. The integrated anti-slip toe cap is designed to prevent the shoe protector from slipping while driving. However, the motorcycle tool is only available in one size.
